The black footed ferret and it's babies live in similar habitats as a rodent.
These animals are the most endangered mammal in North America.The main cause is loss of habitat. Dissappearing grasslands, prairie dog eradication programs and sickness have reduced their population to less than 2% of what once existed.

This animal is primarily nocternal. They eat, sleep, and raise their young in prairie dog burrows, and cannot survive for extended periods outside of a prairie dog colony. In the wild, prairie dogs make up 90% of a ferret's diet. As an endangered species, it is against the law to own one as a pet. The black footed ferret and it's babies live in similar habitats as a rodent.
